Fellowship Conditions
Conditions and procedures to apply for a fellowship
Participants who wish to apply for fellowships must have
registered online and submitted the duly completed and
approved fellowship form by
Friday, 21 August 2009.
Requests received after the deadline will be considered on
an "as possible" basis. |
Eligibility
Subject to the availability of funds, one full fellowship OR
two partial fellowships per country may be granted to delegates from
countries with a GDP per capita less than USD 2 000, with priority
to Least Developed Countries (LDCs). While the number of delegates from any country is not limited,
countries will bear the costs of any additional delegates.
Deadline and procedure
You are invited to submit
your request for a fellowship not later than Friday, 21 August
2009 by ticking the appropriate box on the online Registration
form. You must have first registered online in order to receive the
Fellowship form.
Upon acceptance of your
registration, you will automatically receive the fellowship request
form which you are advised to complete, sign and have it
signed by the approving officer of your administration along
with the official stamp of the administration.
Once completed, you may
either scan it and e‑mail it to BDT
bdtfellowships@itu.int OR
fax it to +41 22 730 5778.
Air ticket and subsistence allowance
Due to budgetary constraints
and depending on the number of requests from candidates who fulfill
all requirements, the countries beneficiaries of a fellowship may
have to contribute partly to the costs of the fellowship.
In the case of partial
fellowships, all applicants will receive a confirmation of the share
expected from their administrations. At that point, the fellowship
request can be confirmed or withdrawn by the approving officer who
signed the form.
A full fellowship includes
one return economy class air ticket by the most direct/economical
route from the country of origin to Colombia as well as a daily
allowance to cover accommodation, meals and incidental expenses.
It is imperative that fellows be present from the
first day to end of the meeting and participate during
the entire fellowship period.
