Responsible for studies relating to:

for studies relating to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of telecommunication systems
including precautions to avoid hazard to
human beings.

the EMC phenomena is not specific only to telecommunications, this subject is studied in
many international, regional and national standards organizations. All aspects of EMC
related to telecommunications (requirements, limits and measuring methods) are finalized
in Study Group 5, in order to facilitate the harmonization and to minimize duplication of
efforts close cooperation is necessary with different committees of IEC, WHO,
UIC, CIGRE,
CENELEC and ETSI, Study Group 5 has also drafted several handbooks
