This draft Recommendation presents real-time event monitoring and integrated management in Smart City Platforms which facilitates city management based on monitoring and handling of events in smart cities.
The real-time event monitoring and integrated management platform is a Smart City Platform that collects and manages information by connecting intelligent city facilities (e.g., equipped with IoT sensors, etc.) and monitoring events in the city. In case that an event occurs, the platform processes the information to handle the event and manage the city in an integrated and timely manner with associated external organizations involved in a service.
For real-time event-driven integrated city operation and management to support citizens' safety services (e.g., prevent disasters, crime prevention, facility management and fire fighting, etc.) in Smart City Platforms, this Recommendation describes the overview of real-time event monitoring and integrated management in Smart City Platforms, and specifies the reference model and functional requirements.
