Summary: IMT-2020 network provides a variety of services over network and computing infrastructure, including enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) services, services based on Large-scale Machine Type Communication (MTC) and services based on Ultra-Reliable low-delay Communication (URLLC). It can support very large scale networks, flexible connectivity and topology, fixed mobile convergence, user plane optimization. Based on IMT-2020 network, it provides users with different user experiences while users can enjoy the best business experience, such as wide band width, low delay, large connection volume, and high security. By this way, users and operators benefit from IMT-2020 networks in the aspects of seamless service, connection reliability, service continuity, network efficiency, load balancing, disaster recovery, etc. The emergence of mobile information makes the office scene get rid of the dependence on fixed office environment, fixed working hours, fixed computer equipment and fixed network, and use personal terminals to work anytime and anywhere. For example, government departments can consult official documents, examine and approve government affairs outside the office through cooperative office and other systems; teachers and students have off-campus access to e-journals. Currently, the VPN dial-up mode is used to access the internet of the enterprise or campus which has limitations such as complex operations, low speed, poor security, and failure to access the Internet at the same time. As a result, it is important to consider solutions to enhance protocols of IMT-2020 network and beyond to support data streaming to ensure. For example, an user uses a terminal outside to access the Internet using the established generic DNN session. The direction of service traffic corresponds to the diagram, the access network to the edge UPF and then channeled to the Internet. If the user moves to the office park, the SMF will trigger to insert the core UPF for the user and select the edge UPF to connect to the office network. Then the user can access both the Internet and the office network at the same time. Based on the destination address of the packet, different service traffic is directed to different networks. Traffic to the Internet is channeled from the access network to the core UPF and then to the Internet. Traffic to the campus internet is channeled from the access network to the edge UPF and then to the campus internet. With the development of the internet, there are more and more scenarios for mobile applications, and networks need to handle increasingly diverse and intelligent applications which requires stronger network signals and more convenient access methods. Traditional park businesses lack outdoor coverage and have dead zones indoors. During peak hours, the network is congested and there is a risk of packet loss, affecting business reliability and continuity, and no access is possible after leaving the park. Accessing the intranet through VPN outside the park means that business data passes through the public network, resulting in poor security. By enhancing the interaction between SMF and related functions, the work ensures continuous connectivity and SLA requirements for data streaming service. For example, it supports data stream splitting services under both IMT-2020 and other network access scenarios, realize the data streaming in the wide area, and provides differentiated guarantees for data streaming with different destinations. Full network transmission ensures security isolation and strong reliability. Therefore, this new Recommendation aims to specify a protocol for supporting data streaming service in IMT-2020 network and beyond to enable different service traffic to be directed to different networks and access multiple destination networks at the same time.
