Building up the smart farmland production platform is essential to improve farmland production efficiency and achieve precision planting. This Recommendation presents basic concept of smart farmland production and specify reference framework for the smart farmland production platform.
Smart farmland production has evolved from the primary stage to the advanced stage. A large number of manufacturers provide various types of sensors and subsystems. But these vertical subsystems are independent of each other, and the data and information are not effectively shared. Therefore, it is necessary to define a farmland production platform to integrate useful information. And it is important to define a unified framework to effectively utilise resources, and support multiple applications, which can provide agricultural producers with intelligent services throughout the entire farmland production process. This framework can effectively integrate multiple subsystems, improve data usage efficiency, and form a comprehensive and intelligent agricultural production information support decision-making ability.
