Tech Talks series

The TECH TALKS series was conceptualized as an engagement dialogue platform exclusively for ITU-D Members.  These TALKS provide ITU-D Members with an opportunity to present their technologies and innovative approaches in their respective areas, share their best practices in the application and use of these technologies in the space of telecommunications and ICT development.

The TECH TALKS series, run by industry, private sector entities, and other entities among our ITU-D Membership, aims to give ITU-D members, based on manifestation of interest, opportunities to present technological trends in their areas and their work in the space of ICT development, as well as the chance to partner in ITU projects. BDT staff at headquarters and in our field offices across all the regions will participate. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will, in turn, share opportunities for partnerships and participation in our projects and other activities based on current and future activities, projects, and initiatives.

All ITU-D membership communities, the Recognized Operating Agencies (ROA), the Scientific and Industrial Organizations (SIO), the Regional Telecommunications Organizations (REGORG) and Regional and other International Organizations (REGINTORG), Intergovernmental Organizations Operating Satellite Systems (SATORG), and Academia and Research Institutions, will be openly or individually invited to share their offerings and ongoing planned activities and projects in telecommunications/ICT development.

The first TECH TALKS series with the Recognized Operating Agencies community took place on 18 February 2021. You can check the events page and presentations here.
