First Stakeholder Consultation to Review the Legislative Framework
on Privacy and Data Protection
The HIPCAR Stakeholder Consultation Workshop to review the Legislative Frameworks on Privacy and Data Protection was held in Jamaica (14-16 May 2013), kindly hosted by the Government of Jamaica, the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining, and co-organized with the HIPCAR Project.
The objectives of the Workshop were to sensitize stakeholders to the proposed introduction of Privacy and Data Protection legislation and review the implications, key issues and options to be considered in developing the aforementioned framework and facilitating harmonization in accordance with the HIPCAR Model Policy Guidelines and Legislative Text.
