Regional Innovation Forum for the Americas. 27 October 2021 (11-14 hrs GMT-3)

​The Regional Innovation Forum for the Americas (AMS-RIF), organized within the framework of the 2021 ITU Global Innovation Forum, will take place virtually on 27 October 2021 back-to-back to the 8th Latin American Congress  of Digital Transformation that is taking place from 18 to 28 October 2021 with the support of ITU.

It is a one-day event that builds regional and national capacities by identifying, pitching and highlighting successful projects and/or initiatives, policies and programs in the developing digital ecosystems. This event is organized within the framework of the ITU Americas Regional Initiative 5, related to developing the digital economy, smart cities and the Internet of Things; and promoting innovation adopted by the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2017 (WTDC-17), Buenos Aires. This year we will also launch the 1st edition of ITU’s Regional Good Practices Report: Accelerating innovation, entrepreneurship and digital innovation — Americas region

This event is part of the 2021 Global Innovation Forum which is a five-day, immersive event that will take the participants on the learning journeys to learn the “why”, “what” and “how” of building new partnerships that ensure that communities have the right innovation capabilities to be resilient and competitive with digital technologies. 

The event is targeted at digital change-makers, policy-makers, the private sector, academics, entrepreneurial support organizations, entrepreneurs, financiers, community development managers, international organizations and media.
