International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is organizing the Innovative Strategies for Development Summit 2016 (ISDS 2016) from 8 - 10 June 2016 in Manila, Philippines. The summit is being co-organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Department of Science and Technology – Information and Communication Technology Office (DOST-ICTO) Philippines, which is
ISDS 2016, under the central theme: "Accelerating inclusive and sustainable development through ICT" aims to provide a discussion platform for high level participants from telecommunications/ICT policy makers, regulators, industry, SMEs, local governments, academia and development partners in the Asia-Pacific region. The summit is planned to foster dynamic and strategic discussions, sharing of information, real experiences, practices and initiatives on promising solutions to address emerging challenges in accelerating inclusive and sustainable growth and development through ICTs.
ISDS 2016 will present initiatives and opportunities for collaboration in the development and use of innovative ICT solutions for skills development and employment, education, health, agriculture, rural economic development including digital inclusion and empowerment.
