From 28 to 29 April 2016, the ITU Area Office for CIS in cooperation with Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics will hold a videoconference seminar dedicated to the International Girls in ICT Day.
The International Girls in ICT Day is celebrated each ear in accordance with an initiative supported by ITU Member States in Resolution 70 of the 2010 Plenipotentiary Conference aimed at creation of global conditions to encourage girls and young women to consider the sector of information and communications technologies as a potential field of their professional realization.
The seminar will consider trends in ICT development in the CIS countries over the last 5 years in the light of women's involvement in the ICT. Presentations delivered during these two days by representatives of the countries and ICT-specialized universities of our region will provide a basis for the seminar summarizing document.
