Generation Connect CIS Youth Group (GC-CIS) – is an initiative created to provide young people from the CIS region with an opportunity to discuss the prospects and challenges associated with the development of information and communication technologies.

C-CIS is carried out in the context of the ITU Youth Strategy, in particular, within the framework of the “Generation Connect" global initiative and also contributes to bridging the digital divide in the region.

Through this opportunity, GC-CIS participants share with ITU Membership their interests, vision and perspectives on digital transformation in the context of the upcoming the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) and the Generation Connect Global Youth Summit to be held during WTDC.

Through this initiative, GC-CIS participants share their interest and vision for digital transformation with members of the International Telecommunication Union through high-level events. Thus, GC-CIS participants shared their ideas in the context of the Generation Connect Global Youth Summit and the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC), which took place in June 2022.
