27 October 2016 – "Joint ITU/EBU/BNE/DVB Workshop on Assistance for DTTB Implementation", to be held at ITU Headquarters in Geneva.
This Workshop on Assistance for Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting (DTTB), is being jointly organized by ITU, European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Broadcasting Network Europe (BNE) and Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB), to discuss and share practical experiences related to DTTB implementation, in particular: licensing and business models, network specifications and quality of service, receiving equipment specifications and communications strategies.
This Workshop will cover the following topics:
- Licensing and Business models for DTTB;
- DTTB Handbook: the implementation guidelines;

Defining DTTB network specifications and ensuring Quality of Service;
- Preparing your DTTB receiving equipment specifications
- Communication strategy for your DTTB services;
- DTTB, a catalyzer for local content production.
All ITU membership: Member States, Sector Members, Associates, Academia are invited to attend this event.
Participants are required to register online through their respective Designated Focal Points (DFP)*.

This Workshop provides an excellent opportunity for dialogues among multi-stakeholders in public and private sectors; it also features a small exhibition to showcase innovative products and services of ITU members in the TV industry.
