4th ITU Workshop on Network 2030 jointly with ITU Forum on Future Applications and Services. Perspective 2030

Introduction
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and  PJSC Rostelcom  jointly organized the fourth workshop on Network 2030 with support from the Bonch-Bruevich Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. The workshop took place from 21-22 May 2019 at the University Headquarters, (22 building 1, Bolshevikov Avenue) in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation. The Forum/Workshop was collocated with the fourth meeting of the ITU-T Focus Group Technologies for Network 2030 (FG NET2030) which took place in the afternoons of 21 and 22 May and on 23 May 2019.

The ITU Forum/Workshop was conducted in Russian and English, with simultaneous interpretation offered for both events by the hosting organization.

Objectives
The Workshop on Network 2030 aimed to provide a forum for both industry and academia to exchange their ideas about  data communications networks in the year 2030 and thereafter. Presenters and participants were able to share their visions, views, findings, latest research, and their project descriptions and goals. 

Target Audience
The target audience of the event included ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates and Academic Institutions and  individuals from a country that is a member of ITU who wished to contribute to the work. This included individuals who are also members of international, regional and national organizations. Participation in the Forum/Workshop was free of charge.
