ITU Events in Ecuador

Quito, Ecuador, 13-14 August 2013

Introduction

ITU organized the following events in Quito, Ecuador:  Workshop on Environmentally Sound Management of E-Waste in Latin America and Workshop on Human Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs) in Latin America on 13 and 14 August respectively. Both events were kindly hosted by Telefonica.

These events aimed at identifying major challenges and strategies associated with the management of e-waste in Latin America and provided a global platform to discuss measurement concerns related to human exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF). In addition, these events brought together leading specialists in the field, from top policy-makers to engineers, designers, planners, government officials, regulators, academia, standards experts and others.
