Alessia Magliarditi is Programme Officer in the Policy and Technology Watch Division (PTWD) of the ITU Telecommunication 
Standardization Bureau (TSB). She is the TSB liaison officer for academia and, from 2011, she is the Coordinator of the
Kaleidoscope conferences, the main ITU interface with universities and research institutions. She previously worked as TSB Promotion Officer.
Alessia joined ITU in 2006 working in the External Affairs and Corporate Communication Division of the General Secretariat. She was in charge of external relations, liaising with governments, permanent missions, UN agencies, international organizations, ITU regional offices, and universities.
Prior to joining ITU, Alessia Magliarditi worked at the ILO from 2003. She was responsible for external relations with UN agencies, social partners, NGOs and universities, encouraging them to sign partnership agreements with ILO.
Alessia holds a M.A in Social Sciences from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome, and a M.A in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies from “Lumsa” University of Rome. Alessia successfully passed the United Nations Language Proficiency Examinations in English, French, and Spanish.
