Dr. Frederic Surre is Assistant Professor at City, University of London, UK in optical system. He graduated from Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse (now part of Universite de Toulouse). After the award of a PhD in 2003, he worked for Queen Mary, University of London, Dublin City University and Trinity College Dublin.
One of his teaching responsibilities is to lead student design projects with a focus in transforming them into a simulated real-life product design that includes standards education.
He is a member of the IEEE Standards Education Committee and of the Editorial Board of the IEEE Standards University with responsibilities for videos and e-learning modules.
