Jung Wook PARK

​​​ Jung Wook Park is a Ph.D. student in computer science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, working with Drs. Gregory Abowd and Rosa Arriaga. He is currently working on novel sensing technologies and self-sustainable computing platforms for improving the usability and safety of automobiles. He is also building various interactive devices, objects, and websites to understand human behavior and emotion in real-world environments. He was a visiting researcher at Carnegie Mellon University and conducted two research projects regarding distraction and depression. Prior to CMU, he developed wearable and Internet-of-Things devices at LG Electronics as a research engineer. During his master’s program, he was a visiting researcher at the Mobile and Pervasive Computing Laboratory at the University of Florida in Gainesville and researched pervasive computing technologies under the guidance of Dr. Sumi Helal. He received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering from Ajou University in South Korea.
