Haiying REN, Ph.D. from China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), and the leader of 5G Medical and Health Sub-Working Group of China Communications Standards Association (CCSA). She has participated in a number of national major 5G research projects, including National Science and Technology Major Project, National Natural Science Foundation of China. In the International Organization for Standardization 3GPP, she has submitted a number of 5G-related technical contributions. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, she has been supporting the work of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the National Health Commission (NHC). In particular, under the recommendation of the NHC, she has spoken on behalf of China at the APEC 10th High-Level meeting on health & the economy (HLM10), introducing China's specific measures to use digital technology and telemedicine in the fight against COVID-19.
