The meeting was attended by 100 delegates from 32 countries. It received 60 Contributions​ and handled 151 TDs​. The meeting reviewed 30 incoming Liaison statements​ and adopted 13 outgoing Liaison stat​ements​. 

Five Recommendations were consented, and seven informative text were agreed. A webinar (announcement​ | recording​) was held on 21 January 2016 following the closing plenary, summarizing key meeting results.

Q1/12

• Reviewed incoming Liaison statements related to the SG12 work programme, and drafted replies as appropriate
• Reviewed SG12 activities related to ITU's Bridging the Standardization Gap (BSG) programme.
• Reviewed and agreed to a proposal for a new work on a QoS Framework for IMT-2020, to be established in Q2/12
• Reviewed proposals on a framework for monitoring QoS for Broadband Internet Access; and a guide on domain-specific key performance indicators (incl. thresholds and measurement methodologies) for improving QoE, to be considered in the respective Questions

Q2/12

• Consented the following Recommendations:
• Revised Recommendation ITU-T P.800.1 "Mean Opinion Score (MOS) terminology"
• Agreed the following texts:
• P.imp10 "Implementers Guide to Recommendation ITU-T P.10/G.100 Amd.4"
• Took note of the draft work item Q.QMS "The Framework of the QoS/QoE Monitoring system", submitted to SG12 from SG11
• Updated list of country case studies for a Handbook summarizing country cases w/r to the assessment of QoS and QoE

Regional Group for Africa

• Reviewed and updated its work programme
• Discussed the next meeting of SG12 RG-AFR, which will be held in conjunction with a Regional Standardization Forum and SG5 RG-AFR (see "Future meetings and workshops" for more details)

Quality of service development group (QSDG)

• Reviewed and updated the work programme for 2016 (see "Future meetings and workshops" for more details)
