Introduction
The International Telecommunication Union, at the kind invitation of the Nigerian Communications Commission​, is organizing the Forum on "Human Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs) in Africa" which will take place from 1430 to 1730 hours on 29 August 2019 in Abuja, Nigeria.

This Forum will take place within the framework of the 1st Digital African Week​.
 
Objective
This Forum will provide an overview of EMF issues to policy makers and other stakeholders with a special focus on Africa and will identify a few actions for consideration of ITU-T Study Group 5: Environment, climate change and circular economy. It will also present a series of ITU-T Recommendations on human exposure to EMFs.

Target Audience
The Forum will bring together leading specialists in the field, from engineers, designers, policy-makers, government officials, regulators, academia, industry and standards experts.
