GCI 2020 Report Launch

DESCRIPTION OF THE SESSION

Since its launch in 2015, the Global Cybersecurity Index (GCI) has established a niche as a trusted reference that measures the cybersecurity commitment of countries across five pillars – Legal Measures, Technical Measures, Organizational Measures, Capacity Building, and Cooperation.  Based on a multi‐stakeholder approach, the GCI leverages the capacity and expertise of different organizations (see key partners below), with the objectives of continuously improving the quality of the GCI, fostering international cooperation, and promoting knowledge exchange in the field of cybersecurity.

Currently in its fourth edition, the GCI 2020 Report Launch Webinar showcased key takeaways and insights from the GCI 2020 Report among ITU Member States, Sector Members, UN agencies, and other key stakeholders. The launch featured a presentation highlighting some of the best cybersecurity practices, as well as a global cyber dialogue among representatives from the different ITU regions. The event was designed to be dynamic and informational, presenting participants with opportunities to further engage on with the ITU on cybersecurity.
