Summary:
|
With the deployment of IMT-2020 networks, services and applications related to application domains are increasingly needed to be supported. The examples of application domains include, but are not limited to, Smart City, Industry, Education, Transport, Healthcare, Agriculture, Finance, and Media. Some network deployments are adopting the architecture and network functions of IMT-2020 network specified in [ITU-T Y.3102] and [ITU-T Y.3104], while other network deployments may use dedicated network architectures based on customized IMT-2020 network functions. The lightweight core [ITU-T Y.3114] has been proposed as a core network solution for dedicated networks.
In recent years, emerging technologies and energy efficiency have become key drivers for network evolution. Edge service lead to low latency and large bandwidth for the whole network. Based on this, distributed network deployment is involved. We propose to investigate the message between core network functionalities, data synchronization and transport, protocol and interface enhancement to support the related procedure.
