Summary: Non-public network that utilizes both virtual and physical elements of an IMT-2020 communication system and is intended for the sole use of a private entity such as an enterprise. [ITU-T X.1813] NPN has flexible networking architecture, various industry terminals, and different service level agreements, which bring big challenges for operation aspects. The NPN operator needs to provide a variety of services to NPN customers, such as efficiently managing and controlling the different forms of UE for the subscribers, ensuring the security and privacy of the associated data, monitoring the network state in real time, and meeting different SLA requirements. These services require a high level of customization, visibility, timeliness, and interactivity. Digital twin network (DTN) can be used for analyzing, diagnosing, emulating, and controlling physical networks based on data, models and interfaces, to achieve a real-time interactive mapping between physical networks and virtual twin networks, which allows the construction of service platform for NPN. This new Recommendation aims to specify the functional requirements, functional architecture and interfaces for service platform of NPN based on DTN.
