Summary: With increasing various consumer’s requirements, the cost of maintenance and operation for the BNG devices will be too much to be accepted by the network operators. Evolving to intent-based automated network management becomes the new trend for the development of BNG devices. This Draft Recommendation aims to propose an architecture with enhanced functions and capabilities for the vBNG devices in IBN, along with signaling interfaces for intent processing and AI-based automated network management. The procedures of automated creation and maintenance a network connection for BNG devices in IBN will also be specified.
