The project completed the main activities required to strengthen communications support for WTDC-22 Regional Initiatives. It developed the basis for a dedicated communications strategy, completed the preparatory work for communications support, implemented the communications strategy, and introduced adjustments based on implementation experience.

The project contributed to greater visibility of the WTDC-22 Regional Initiatives by supporting the development of communications content, stories and materials linked to Regional Initiative implementation. It also supported BDT’s engagement with stakeholders by producing content that helped communicate the value, progress and results of Regional Initiatives under the Kigali Action Plan.

The project identified operational risks related to the availability of impact information from BDT colleagues and addressed them through mitigation measures, including the preparation of alternative story pipelines and regular content planning. Through these activities, the project completed its communications support function and moved into closure.
