Description

This project aims at defining a framework, identifying possible donor partners, and setting-up the initial activities for the implementation of the Least Developed Country Infrastructure Protection Program (LDCIPP). The present project consists of the preparatory steps to the launch of the LDCIPP. By determining the structure of the former and engaging countries and private actors, this project plays an essential role in the feasibility of the further development of the LDCIPP in the 48 Least Developed Countries (LDCs) identified in Annex C of the Project Document.

Achievements

  1. Drafting the LDCIPP framework.
  2. Gathering the 48 LCDs engaged in the LDCIPP.
  3. Obtain buy-in from the beneficiary Member States and potential donors. 
  4. Raising funds to ensure the financial capacity for execution of the LDCIPP.
  5. Development of the necessary capabilities and services as a prerequisite for the implementation of the LDCIPP.
