Title Capacity building and the development of ORTM Regional Stations
Description

This project aims to support the efforts of the Government of Mali in the modernization of the Office of Radio and Television of Mali (ORTM) and will be funded by the ITU and the Government of Mali as detailed in the budget. In its implementation, it will strive initially to networking broadband Central Station ORTM in Bamako and its regional stations in eight regions that are Kayes, Koulikoro, Sikasso, Segou in the south and Mopti, Timbuktu, Gao and Kidal in the north, the connection speeds range from 512 Kbps to 2 Mbps, depending on the capabilities of links that will provide the telecommunications operator SOTELMA. Then FTP servers will be installed to allow the transfer of audiovisual production from regions to the capital Bamako, where they will be centralized, processed and disseminated throughout the country. Finally, a training program will be developed and delivered to all stakeholders in the production and processing of audio-visual programs to ensure full control over the entire chain.
