| Description | The Iran Telecommunication Research Centre (ITRC) has been tasked by the Ministry of ICT (MICT) of Iran (Islamic Republic of) to carry out preparatory work for licensing of the third mobile operator in the country. ITRC has engaged a national consulting company to carry out this work. Detailed tasks undertaken by the national company are attached to this document. The company has established three expert groups to work on technical, market and legal related matters. ITU is required to assist ITRC in carrying out an in-depth review of the documents and reports available, particularly the draft business plan, draft license, draft RFP and draft technology roadmap, make recommendations for the improvement of these documents, as well as develop a plan for subsequent phrases of the project and assist the expert groups in the presentation of these reports to the Steering Committee. |
