The new building of the National Library of Belarus has been chosen as the venue of the Connect CIS Summit, the 41st session of the RCC Board and the CIS Regional Preparatory Meeting for the 2010 World Telecommunication Development Conference. This new building (it was officially opened in June 2006) has managed to become one of the symbols of the Belarusian capital and a major tourist attraction. It has also become well known in diplomatic circles as a traditional venue of the meetings of supreme bodies of regional organizations, high- level bilateral negotiations and international conferences in different fields. Due to its architectural and engineering solution the National Library of Belarus is not just a place of book storage but also a unique informational and cultural centre.

The significant part of the general public access zone of the National Library of Belarus will be used for the ITU and RCC Events.

During the Events the participants are invited to follow information signposts in Russian and English, installed in the National Library of Belarus. The information bureau in the foyer of the conference hall will provide participants with information on the rooms and services locations, deliver of copies draft documents and promotional materials about the companies, participating in the Events, as well as order a car or a minibus to get to a business meeting in Minsk and any give any other information assistance to the participants.
