13. The price cap formula established by OFTEL, the telecommunication regulator, currently stands at CPI-4.5 per cent [check]. The price cap is due to be eliminated in 2001 [check] when BT is deemed to have completed its rebalancing and to be sufficiently exposed to competition to require no additional price controls.
