I learned about YES Project through the web and I am very glad to be a winner of the YES scholarship for my graduate studies.

Being a YES winner has definitely influenced my personal as well as professional life. I could start my studies in a subject I liked because of this scholarship. Currently, I am in Japan doing research for path loss measurements for rural propagation. After finishing my studies, I would like to go back to my country and work for the people there to make them benefit from the huge potential of ICT.

Benefitting from the YES Project is really a milestone for me. It has inspired me to contribute towards getting youth involved in development through ICT. In fact, I am already involved in a start up development project to be implemented in Nepal started by two teams of volunteer students in Nepal and in Japan.

In my opinion, ITU YES program is doing a great job by providing scholarships to the youth who are willing to contribute to their countries with their potential, but who have financial difficulties in pursuing their tertiary studies and starting their career. I think ITU should continue this great work.
