الغرض من هذه التوصية | المعيار الدولي هو توفير بروتوكول شبكة يتيح الإرسال التفاعلي والتدريجي للبيانات والملفات المشفّرة بالأسلوب JPEG 2000 وذلك من المخدّم إلى الزبون. ويمكّن هذا البروتوكول الزبون من طلب أجزاء يختارها من الصورة (حسب المنطقة أو النوعية أو سوية الاستبانة) تتوافق مع احتياجاته. كما يتيح أيضاً للزبون الوصول إلى البيانات الشرحية أو إلى محتويات أخرى من الملف. وعلى كل منظمة تزمع استعمال هذه التوصية | المعيار الدولي أن تدرس إمكانية تطبيقها بدقة. |
