Cables de fibra óptica para aplicaciones sumergibles |
En la Recomendación UIT-T L.87 se describen las características y métodos de construcción y prueba de los cables de fibra óptica para aplicaciones sumergibles. Los cables de fibra óptica sumergibles se utilizan para conectar las redes de acceso ópticas y las redes cliente. Cuando los puntos de acceso se encuentran en exteriores, los cables ópticos sumergibles se exponen a entornos de exteriores e interiores. En este caso, el cable óptico sumergible debe estar diseñado para ambos entornos. En esta Recomendación se describen también las características que necesita un cable para que la fibra óptica tenga un rendimiento adecuado. Además, se describe un método para determinar si el cable posee o no las características necesarias. Las condiciones requeridas pueden variar en función del entorno de instalación y las condiciones de prueba detalladas han de ser objeto de acuerdo entre el usuario y el fabricante, en lo que respecta al entorno de utilización del cable (en caso de que haya que curvar ligeramente el cable durante la instalación y, sobre todo, después de la misma). |
