En el presente anexo J/G.729 se describe una extensión de la Rec. UIT-T G.729 para un algoritmo de codificación vocal y audio de banda ancha adaptable de 8 a 32 kbit/s compatible con el codificador de la Rec. UIT-T G.729 y sus anexos A y B.Los detalles del anexo J se especifican y publican en la Rec. UIT-T G.729.1 para facilitar su mantenimiento y divulgación.
