Nouvelle Annexe E sur l'extension modulable superlarge bande
La Recommandation UIT-T G.729.1 décrit un algorithme modulable de codage de signaux vocaux et audio à bande élargie fonctionnant entre 8 et 32 kbit/s et interopérable avec les algorithmes UIT-T G.729, UIT-T G.729A et UIT-T G.729B. La sortie du codeur UIT-T G.729EV a une bande passante de 50-4 000 Hz à 8 et 12 kbit/s et 50-7 000 Hz de 14 à 32 kbit/s. A 8 kbit/s, l'algorithme UIT-T G.729EV est pleinement interopérable avec les algorithmes UIT-T G.729, Annexe A/G.729 et Annexe B/G.729. On en prévoit donc un déploiement efficace dans les infrastructures VoIP existantes fondées sur UIT-T G.729. Le codeur s'applique à des trames de 20 ms et a un délai algorithmique de 48,9375 ms. Par défaut, l'entrée du codeur et la sortie du décodeur sont échantillonnées à 16 kHz. Le codeur produit un flux binaire intégré structuré en 12 couches correspondant aux 12 débits binaires disponibles de 8 à 32 kbit/s. Le flux binaire peut être tronqué du côté du décodeur ou par tout composant du système de communication pour ajuster "au vol" le débit binaire à la valeur désirée sans qu'il soit besoin de signalisation hors bande. L'algorithme sous-jacent se fonde sur une structure de codage à trois étapes: codage intégré à prédiction linéaire avec excitation par code (CELP) de la bande inférieure (50-4 000 Hz), codage paramétrique de la bande supérieure (4 000-7 000 Hz) par extension de largeur de bande dans le domaine temporel (TDBWE), et amélioration de la bande complète (50-7 000 Hz) par une technique de codage à transformation prédictive connue sous le nom d'annulation du repliement dans le domaine temporel (TDAC).
Dans l'Amendement 1, une nouvelle Annexe A contient le format de charge utile RTP ainsi que les identificateurs et paramètres de capacité pour la signalisation des capacités UIT-T G.729.1 fondée sur UIT-T H.245. Le format et les paramètres de capacité sont totalement compatibles avec les définitions correspondantes de la charge utile RTP de la Recommandation UIT-T G.729.1, de manière à assurer une interopérabilité continue. En plus de la nouvelle Annexe, l'Amendement 1 à la Recommandation UIT-T G.729.1 contient les modifications qu'il est nécessaire d'apporter pour corriger les erreurs relevées dans la Recommandation UIT-T G.729.1 ainsi qu'un nouvel ensemble plus complet de vecteurs de test. Dans l'Amendement 2, une nouvelle Annexe B définit une variante de la mise en oeuvre de l'algorithme UIT-T G.729.1 utilisant l'arithmétique en virgule flottante, à utiliser sur un matériel DSP optimisé pour les opérations en virgule flottante. Le code C associé en virgule flottante est entièrement compatible avec le code C en virgule fixe. Dans l'Amendement 3, la fonctionnalité du mode à faible délai du corps de la Recommandation et de l'Annexe B est étendue pour s'appliquer au premier débit binaire à bande élargie (14 kbit/s). En outre, des modifications sont apportées pour corriger les erreurs relevées dans le texte et dans le code C du corps de la Recommandation UIT-T G.729.1 et de l'Annexe B. Dans l'Amendement 4, une nouvelle Annexe C spécifie la transmission discontinue et la génération de bruit de confort pour l'algorithme UIT-T G.729.1. Avec cette annexe, le codeur UIT-T G.729.1 est capable de générer une description d'insertion de silence (SID) chaque fois qu'une mise à jour des paramètres de bruit de fond ambiant est nécessaire pour maintenir la qualité du bruit de fond généré. Les informations SID comportent une couche de base pour la bande inférieure, qui peut être décodée par le décodeur de l'Annexe B/G.729, une couche d'amélioration pour la bande inférieure et une couche pour la bande supérieure. L'absence de transmission entre les mises à jour SID et la taille réduite des informations SID permettent de réduire nettement la largeur de bande pendant les segments inactifs. Outre cette nouvelle annexe, dans l'Amendement 4, des modifications sont apportées pour corriger les erreurs décelées dans le code source C UIT-T G.729.1 (corps de la Recommandation et Annexe B), l'ensemble des vecteurs de test est révisé et le tableau de la Recommandation UIT-T G.729.1 contenant les valeurs de complexité est mis à jour. La nouvelle Annexe D figurant dans l'Amendement 5 décrit une variante utilisant l'arithmétique en virgule flottante de la mise en œuvre de la transmission discontinue et la génération de bruit de confort de l'Annexe C – qui utilise l'arithmétique en virgule fixe. Outre cette nouvelle annexe, dans l'Amendement 5, des modifications sont apportées pour corriger les erreurs décelées dans le code source C UIT-T G.729.1 (corps de la Recommandation et Annexe B), et l'ensemble des vecteurs de test est révisé. Le Corrigendum 1 contient la version 1.5 du code, dans laquelle les problèmes rencontrés dans les codes ANSI-C du corps de la Recommandation UIT-T G.729.1 et de ses Annexes B, C et D ont été corrigés. L'Amendement 6 décrit, dans la nouvelle Annexe E, un algorithme modulable de codage de signaux vocaux et audio à bande super-élargie (50-14 000 Hz) fonctionnant entre 36 et 64 kbit/s et interopérable avec les algorithmes UIT-T G.729 et UIT-T G.729.1. Dans un souci de cohérence, le code ANSI-C existant pour l'ensemble de la Recommandation UIT-T G.729.1 est republié (version 1.6) dans le cadre de cette publication, sans modification supplémentaire.
