Name: W3C XML Schema Part 1 (2004)
Title: XML Schema Part 1: Structures Second Edition
2. Status of approval:
This is a W3C Recommendation of 28 October 2004. Errata exist, see 5. below.
3. Justification for the specific reference:
T.813 describes example image structure definitions, and the W3C's XML Schema is used for this definitions. The XML Schema Part 1 contains these XML Schema usages. Thus the XML Schema Part 1 is referenced.
4. Current information, if any, about IPR issues:
No Issues. W3C is a Royalty Free organization. An on-line description of the W3C Patent Policy is available at the following URL: http://www.w3.org/2004/pp/
5. Other useful information describing the "Quality" of the document:
XML Schema Part 1: First Edition was published in May 2001 and the second edition was published in October 2004, and has been widely used. Conformance requirements are clear, and the specification is readily and widely available. Errata exist: http://www.w3.org/2004/03/xmlschema-errata.
6. The degree of stability or maturity of the document:
The document is considered stable and provides a complete description of XML Schema Part 1 Second Edition ("version 1.1"). The latest version can be found at http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-1.
