3. Justification for the specific reference:
The privacy consent directives in this specification are widely adopted in the industry and used in the H.810 stack. This is an update of the previously used consent directives for trial use (HL7 CDA CD (2011)), initially qualified for the initial H.813 version.

Approved by HL7 as a Normative publication in 2017-01-12, after several years in trial use (DSTU).
