Summary:
|
Source video quality at the headend is an important factor in providing high quality programs over cable networks. Poor source video quality will result in low perceptual quality of the end-user even if the programs are encoded at high bit rates and there are no transmission errors. This Recommendation describes objective methods which can be used to measure source video quality at the headend.
