This draft Recommendation proposes the technical requirements of object recognition for digital representation of cultural relics and artworks using augmented reality. This draft Recommendation will standardize object recognition from the following aspects: 1) Define and standardize the general requirements of AR object recognition, including the specification of AR object recognition environment requirements, recognition mode requirements; 2) Standardize AR object recognition process and AR object recognition according to different recognition technologies, including AR object recognition technical requirements based on image recognition technology, AR object recognition technical requirements based on location recognition technology and AR object recognition technical requirements based on mixed recognition technology. By specification of AR object recognition technology, this draft Recommendation can provide standard object recognition process and identification technical specifications for AR display of cultural relics and artworks in different scenes and requirements.
