Summary:
|
Recommendation G.652 describes a single-mode optical fibre and cable that has a zero-dispersion wavelength around 1310 nm and can be used in the 1310-nm and 1550-nm regions.
In this revision, new information on the statistical accumulated chromatic dispersion over O-band in a 10-km-long link will be added to the existing Appendix I as a guideline to support continuous discussion on the new system interface that uses the existing and/or newly installed G.652 link.
This revision does not aim to modify the existing chromatic dispersion specifications.
PMDQ values for a short link is also investigated in this revision work.
