Summary: In the recent years, there has been increasing magnitude of loss in several sectors such as road infrastructure, energy supply chains, agriculture, housing, fisheries, health, water, etc. Creating resilient and sustainable biodiversity and infrastructure involves integrating ecological principles into the design, development, and management of infrastructure projects. This approach helps to ensure that both natural ecosystems and human-built environments can withstand and recover from environmental stresses while promoting sustainability. The Recommendation will outline key strategies for ensuring sustainable biodiversity and associated infrastructure; these include: - Integrating Green Infrastructure, adopting nature-based solutions, promoting Connectivity and landscape integration, implementing sustainable design principles, enhancing community engagement and co-benefits as well as implementing resilient infrastructure practices. The recommendation will further establish the principles for sustainable biodiversity and its associated supporting infrastructure.
