ITU-T Rec. T.808 (2005) | ISO/IEC 15444-9:2005 Amendment 3 (2008) extends the fields in JPIP for use with 3-D and higher dimensional data. All fields related to the frame and region of the requested image are extended to multiple dimensions, as part of this Amendment.

After renumbering of ITU-T T.808 (01/2005) | ISO/IEC 15444-9:2005 Amd.3 (2007) as Amd.2 for publication purposes, all subsequent draft amendments were also renumbered (see AAP records of that text, for further details) . Therefore, to realign the sequential numbering of Amendments, this item is also called T.808 Amd.3, but actually refers to a project formerly known as Amd.4 in ISO/IEC SC 29. For distinction in the AAP database from the Amd.3 approved in 2007, this item is referred to as "Amd.3 (2008)"
