Michael Dornan works as an analyst for Gartner's automotive vertical research in Europe.
Michael Dornan joined INTECO corporation as an analyst in 1996 covering consumer adoption of new technology, which at the time included the Internet, mobile phones, and digital TV, as well as the opportunities for e-commerce by vertical segment through these platforms. During his time at INTECO, Mr Dornan also ran studies looking at PC buying behaviour for home users and small businesses.
In 1999, INTECO was acquired by Gartner, the world’s leading research and advisory company, and the vertical research coverage was strengthened. Gartner's automotive team now has analysts focused on all areas of the global automotive business including CRM, lead management, dealer management, supply-chain, manufacturing, and telematics. As part of its research coverage, Gartner conducts several primary research studies each year to understand market changes and challenges. Within these coverage areas, Mr Dornan focuses primarily on demand-chain issues, and the market for telematics in Europe.
Gartner's automotive clients today include vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers. Gartner's automotive research can be found at GartnerG2.com
