The objectives of the Forum is to review the African experience in
WTSA-08 and to consider the activities put in place to implement those
resolutions that are of interest to the region. Experiences will also be
shared among the participants to check where more cooperation is required
and to focus on the various activities, establishing priorities and an
action plan to fully benefit from WTSA-08 Resolutions.

Objectives: This session will provide an overview of ITU-T (the
standardization sector of ITU). It will highlight decisions taken by the
Plenipotentiary Conference 2006 (Resolution 123) and WTSA-08 (Resolution 44)
related to Bridging the Standardization Gap. The main tasks of Study Groups,
Lead study groups and regional groups. Moreover, this session will show some
activities in Africa and data about the participation of African members in
the ITU-T studies.
