UAE's Higher Colleges of Technology Students Engage with Technology for Girls in ICT Day

As the first higher education institution in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to become a member of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) was delighted to participate in the International Girls in ICT Day on April 28, 2016.

Through its female campuses spread across the UAE, the HCT enabled and encouraged its female students to experience technology in a highly interactive, fun and experiential manner.

By hosting a wide range of highly successful and popular events, such as PC build-a-thons, Mobile App development displays and workshops, robotics workshops, quizzes, panel discussions, programming competitions, guest speakers and final-year projects, the HCT female campuses were able to ignite a spark in many students to pursue careers in the burgeoning field of information and communication technologies (ICTs).
