Biographies

Joe Dignan is currently the Head of Government Insights at International Data Corporation EMEA and leads it’s global research on Sustainable Buildings, Homes and Districts. A recognised digital transformation subject matter expert with over 30 years international experience. He is a professional hybrid; at home in both the public and private sector and has a background in government, economic development, education and digital enablement in the UK, Europe, the Far and Middle East.  He has experience of being on the World Bank’s Smart City Expert Framework, a member of the Stakeholder Group for the European Commission’s Smart Cities and Communities Group, the EU-China smart city expert group and is a Research Fellow at Kings College London’s Centre for Urban Science and Progress.
