Webinar – City Horizons: Celebrating World Cities Day and Shaping Urban Futures

Description

People-Centred smart cities prioritize the well-being and needs of their residents by integrating technology to enhance the overall urban experience. These cities leverage digital solutions to create more inclusive, sustainable, and accessible environments. Smart infrastructure, such as efficient public transportation systems and smart grids, is designed to enhance daily life and reduce environmental impact.

World Cities Day, celebrated annually on 31 October, aims to promote the international community’s interest in global urbanization, encourage cooperation among countries in meeting opportunities and addressing challenges of urbanization, and contribute to sustainable urban development around the world. In this context, this Webinar explores the concept of people-oriented smart cities as a means to enhance the human experience, fostering a sense of community, accessibility, and innovation for all inhabitants.
