Mónica García Quesada

Dr Mónica García Quesada is a Project Officer at the International Water Resources Association (IWRA). At IWRA, she coordinates the “Smart Water Cities project”, a three year initiative undertaken in collaboration with the Korea Water Resources Corporation and the Asia Water Council, and chairs the IWRA Smart Water Management Task Force.

Monica holds a PhD in Government from the London School of Economics (LSE), with specialization in water regulation and comparative policies. Before joining IWRA, she held research positions at the Water Centre for Law Policy and Science at the University of Dundee in the UK, the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) and Free University of Brussels (ULB) in Belgium, and the University Luiss Guido Carli, in Italy. She has published in several international journals such as Water International, Utilities Policy, the International Review of Administrative Sciences etc, various chapters in edited books and has been a main contributor to the Smart Water Cities project reports.
