This Recommendation describes a functional architecture for virtual content delivery network (VCDN).
This Recommendation focuses on functional architecture for VCDN. It specifies overall functional architecture, domains and functional role relationship, functional blocks, reference points, relations among physical resources, virtual resources, and LINPs（logically isolated network partition）, functions and their mutual relations, and security considerations. VCDN can realize accurate infrastructure distribution and elastic resource scheduling. VCDN can integrate the resources of CDN, reduce construction cost and improve the scalability.
