Recommendation ITU-T Y.3088 specifies the requirements and functional framework of information-centric networking (ICN) as the underlying network to support distributed ledger technology (DLT) in networks beyond IMT-2020. It discusses the advantages and describes the requirements of using ICN to support DLT from the aspects of ledger storage and ledger consensus. It also specifies the functional framework, which includes naming and mapping, reliable and scalable multicast, reliable and persistent storage, and security.
